Bay Head & Mantoloking Today™ - June 2023

We hope that your summer is off to a good start, and that you're looking forward to the 4th of July!  Though the summer has started off wet and chilly, we're starting to get some days that truly feel like summer! A selection of Ed's local photos from the last couple of months can be found here.



Upcoming Events:


Bay Head's Sunset Paddle at Twilight Like - These occur through the summer, with the next one on Sunday, July 2nd, at 7:45pm.


Bay Head's 4th of July Bike Parade - Register on Community Pass, and check in at the Sacred Heart Church parking lot Prizes to be awarded at Centennial Park. - Starts promptly at 10:30am on Tuesday, July 4th.


Mantoloking will be having its traditional 4th of July festivities, including the parade, starting at 12:00pm (registration at 11:00AM).  Other events include the running race (9:00AM), flag raising (12:45pm), and children's games.  


Mantoloking is now offering "Safe Beach Day" realtime condition updates - you can find out more here.


Beach Replenishment: Delays continue, with no further details shared.  Perhaps more to report later this summer.


Hurricane Season: Though hurricanes can come in almost any mild season, the official hurricane season started June 1st.  NOAA's 2023 Hurricane Outlook can be found here. Some recommendations from NOAA on how to stay safe can be found here
