Bay Head & Mantoloking Today™ - Spring 2022


We hope that you’re having a good spring so far, in spite of the 20 degree temperatures here recently!  All is well here in Bay Head and Mantoloking.

This month’s video features our aerial survey of almost 10,000 feet of Bay Head and Mantoloking beaches, at low tide.  Happily, everything appears to be in pretty good shape!

Spring Happenings

Starting April 4th, Bay Head and Mantoloking will switch to their summer garbage and recycling collection schedules:

– Bay Head – Garbage, Tuesday and Friday, north of Bridge, Monday and Thursday,

south of Bridge.

– Mantoloking – Garbage, Mondays and Thursdays, recycling, Wednesdays.

On Saturday, April 9th from 9 to 12:30, Clean Ocean Action is hosting its annual Beach Sweeps. For Mantoloking, meet at Lyman Street, for Bay Head, meet at Beach House Classic Boardshop bring gloves, a bag or container, and wear proper shoes. Pre-registration on the Clean Ocean Action website is required.

As an aside, Earth Day is April 22nd, with events everywhere! In Mantoloking, one can pick up a free tree seedling (donated by the NJ Tree Recovery Campaign) at the Mantoloking Borough Hall from 11am to 2pm. The type of tree will not be known until the 21st.

On May 14th (rain date, Sunday, May 15th) the town-wide garage sale for Bay Head, Mantoloking and Point Pleasant Beach will be held, to benefit the Point Pleasant Beach PTO. Registration details can be found here.

In other news, Bay Head was recently named as the best place to live in Ocean County by Niche.com!. Ocean County also recently announced a Special Needs Registry – anyone with a disability who lives, works or attends school in Ocean County is encouraged to register. The system is intended to help emergency personnel assist those with special needs in the event of an emergency.

At this time, the real estate market in Bay Head and Mantoloking remains active, with limited inventory – at the time this was written, there were only 9 homes for sale in Bay Head and Mantoloking combined. You can find our latest market report on our website.
